Privacy Policy for The Write Coach

This tells you how I collect, use, store, and share your personal information.
By giving me your personal information, you show that you accept this privacy policy.
I’m committed to ensuring that your privacy is protected. I want to assure you that any personal information given to me will be used in accordance with this privacy policy.

When I’ll collect your personal information

Sometimes I’ll ask you for personal information, for example when you:

• contact me

• book a workshop or coaching

• buy from our shop

• subscribe to our newsletter or blog

• leave a comment on our blog

• complete a workshop evaluation

I’ll only collect what I need to provide you with the product or service. I might ask for the following information:

• your name and job title

• your contact information, including your email address and phone number

• demographic information such as postcode, preferences and interests

• other information relevant to your job role

I’ll collect information from you directly, unless your employer is organising the work you’ll do with me.

What I do with the information I gather

I’ll use your information to help me provide the best products or services I can for you. For example, I might use it to:

• contact you about your request or question

• enter into a contract with you

• make sure the workshop you chose is suitable for you

• send emails about information which we think you may find interesting using the email address which you have provided

I’ll protect your personal information

My staff and I have controlled access to your information to enable us to provide you with services. I will not sell or rent your information to third parties. I will not share your information with third parties for them to market to you.
I use secure cloud services to store most of the personal information we collect. Some of those services are outside New Zealand. These services only store information for us; they don’t use it for their own purposes.
I make sure other companies we work with are reputable and can meet our privacy and security requirements.

You have the right to access and correct your information

You have the right to ask for a copy of any personal information I hold about you. You also have the right to ask me to correct your information if you think it’s wrong.

I encourage my users to be aware when they leave our site and to read the privacy statements of any other site that collects personally identifiable information.

I link to several websites or social media that I have no control over. A link to another site doesn’t mean I support all the content on that site. I’m not responsible for the content of websites I link to or the privacy practices of those websites.

USE OF COOKIES

Although most changes are likely to be minor, Write Coach may change its Privacy Policy from time to time, and in our sole discretion. I will post the updated policy on the Website and, if required by law, further notify you of the changes. In all cases, the use of the information we collect now is subject to the Privacy Policy in effect at the time such information is collected. Please check this policy frequently for updates and changes. If you continue to visit or use the Website after those changes are in effect, you agree to the revised policy.
